About Justin
I came to the therapy world from a bit of a unique angle. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in retail, business, hospitality, and logistics. While I enjoyed elements of each, I often felt like something was missing. Through my own experience in therapy, I began to notice patterns I was repeating and better understand why these different paths never quite felt like the right fit. Over time, I became increasingly interested in what shapes us and drawn to the idea of helping others better understand themselves and their experiences.
My own experience also showed me how helpful it can be to have a space where you can slow down, speak openly, and make sense of things that can be difficult to see on your own. As a therapist providing virtual therapy throughout New York State, I aim to offer that kind of thoughtful, supportive space to clients wherever they are.
That’s the kind of space I hope to create in therapy. I don’t believe you need to have everything figured out before you begin, and I won’t tell you who you should be. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what’s going on, explore patterns that may be getting in your way, and find ways forward that feel true to who you are.
My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, while drawing from mindfulness and other approaches when they feel helpful. Through psychodynamic therapy, I help individuals and couples develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. At the heart of my work is the belief that understanding ourselves more fully can give us greater freedom in how we live, relate to others, and move forward.
